Mexican reggae had a special place at Rototom Sunsplash 2025, the festival that celebrated its 30 years “Celebrating Life” in Benicàssim, Spain. More than 30 compatriots – including artists, selectors, press and public – raised the tricolor flag. And within this framework, the participation of Antidoping, one of the most emblematic reggae bands in Latin America, became a historical moment full of emotion, respect and pride.
From Mexico City to the world, Antidoping landed in Benicàssim with its social message, its characteristic roots reggae and a repertoire that has marked generations. Their show was a sound journey full of classics, combative vibes and also intimate moments of connection with the international music scene.
The Antidoping set had a very special twist: a tribute to Jah Fabio, also known as Di Mexican, who was part of the official line up of this Rototom and who this year started from this plane. The tribute moved not only the Mexicans present, but the entire public who felt the cultural and human weight of this dedication. It was an act of living memory, a reminder that reggae is also about union, respect and legacy.

Talking about Antidoping is talking about cultural resistance. With more than 30 years of experience, the band has kept the fire of roots reggae burning in Mexico, creating anthems that are still valid and paving the way for new generations. Its presence at Rototom 2025 confirms that Latin American reggae is more alive than ever and that Mexico has a lot to contribute to the global conversation.
