Bogotá vibrates with stories of women who start from the neighborhood, from the house, from the heart. And now, those stories are looking for a screen. The La Comadre Foundation launches the call Local Sound – IngáShorts, an audiovisual exhibition that will reward the best short films on female entrepreneurship in Bogotá, with special attention to the town of Engativá.

This call not only recognizes the work of women who dream and do, but also promotes the power of audiovisuals as a tool for social transformation and community memory.

Stories. Real or fictional. Raw, sweet, combative or everyday. Short films that celebrate the creativity and resistance of women who, in the midst of everything, continue to create. They can be documentary records, inspiring stories or experimental pieces: the important thing is that they are narrated from the territory and with a gender perspective.

In Bogotá, 4 out of every 10 startups are led by women. However, many of these entrepreneurs face invisible barriers: limited access to financing, disproportionate household responsibilities, and poor representation in cultural spaces.

Local Sound – IngáShorts seeks to break those barriers, amplifying the voices that have historically sustained their communities from the base, from the invisible, from the essential.
