Soul Dread, 18 Aniversary
Soul Dread's 18th anniversary celebration will take place on April 18th at Sala Urbana – Foro 360 in Naucalpan, marking nearly two decades of dedicated work within the reggae and sound system scene in Mexico. More than just an event, this edition represents a true cultural statement, reaffirming the bridge between Mexico and Jamaica that the collective has built over the years. Founded by the Orozco brothers, Soul Dread has established itself as one of the pillars of reggae in Mexico, standing out not only for its event organization but also for its international reach. Recently, their work was recognized by the Mexican Embassy in Jamaica following their participation in Reggae Month, marking a milestone as the first Mexican sound system to represent the country on the island. The anniversary lineup brings together key figures in global reggae and dancehall, including Skarra Mucci & Manu Digital, one of the most explosive duos in modern dancehall; Horace Andy, a living legend of roots reggae; Jesse Royal, a contemporary icon of conscious reggae; and Johnny Clarke, an icon of Jamaica's golden age. They are joined by names like Kybba, Lady G, Israel Vibration Vibes, Little Lion Sound, and Team Danger, contributing a solid mix of tradition and new trends. The national scene also plays an important role with projects like Victoria Malawi and Nognes, strengthening the connection between Mexican talent and the international circuit. The event will begin at 5:00 PM and will have different ticket tiers ranging from approximately $1,300 to $1,800 MXN, including a special option with access to the official after-party, featuring artists like Papa Michigan and Red Fox, extending the experience into the early hours with 100% sound system energy. In addition, tour options will be available from Guadalajara, facilitating connections between the country's reggae community and one of the most important events of 2026. Soul Dread's anniversary not only celebrates 18 years of history but also reaffirms its role as one of the main drivers of reggae culture in Mexico, connecting generations, regions, and sounds under a shared vibe.
